Entertaining The Bug

Wifey-Do said she read this blog. I was surprised, and I don't worry. There's nothing posted here that I haven't told her. If I post something that I haven't told her and she reads it here, I won't worry about that either.

What got my attention was this: she said Breakup Day was my best written post. Why did she think that post was better than all the rest? It's certainly not the kind of stuff she reads. I prefer my ruminations about death, that's where I learn to pay attention to living, to get perspective, but I thought about what she said. The only thing I wanted to do with Breakup Day was to tell a story.

Thoughts From The Alley isn't a story teller's blog, but some things are best expressed through fiction, even though that's not easy to do. Still, I want to write something similar to Breakup Day, not sexual camp, but a fun story. Writing is a bug I've entertained off and on for a long time, and it's growing restess. Although it will be a slow process, I'll post another story. Breakup Day took almost three weeks and I still don't think I have it right.
