Beginning Essayist

I've discovered that learning to write an essay can be difficult, especially if one tries to put too much thought, symbolism, and other literary methods, into the essay.

I'll bet a hundred bucks that if I wrote a monkey simple essay that did nothing but follow proper form, I would receive an excellent grade. Instead, I handed my professor a first draft that is a rambling and embarrassing mess. My chance to redeem myself lies with the final draft. That essay is in the professor's office as of today.
