A Week Nearly Done
Let me go through the high points. Getting used to the rollers. Good choice there. More bike parts arrive in Portland. My first days here in Pendleton, I hear strange noises outside. Flapping? Knocking? No, it's honking. The next day it's quacking. Someone fed the ducks and geese and they've returned. They told their friends and they flew in too. So at noon they wander about the yard outside the hotel and hope for another handout. I haven't slept more than six hours in a day. At night there's a strange staccato sound circling in the dark. Couldn't see what it was. Just hear the sound going around in the night. I find out later it's a bird. Looks like a starling, but I don't know for sure. Got a new post at the other site. The sun is coming up, it's time to go to bed.
