A lesson in brevity

This came in my e-mail a while ago. I'm slowly learning the craft of writing, and thought it would make a good post.

A college class was assigned to write a story in as few words as possible. The story had to contain three elements:

• Religion
• Sexuality
• Mystery

A single story received an A+.

"Oh my God, I'm pregnant; I wonder who did it?"
