Texas

I've been in Texas for a week now. It's because of work. I've got three more weeks to go, and I'm bored to death but it is a chance to get caught up on things. Reading, this site, and cable TV. I don't watch TV at home, but when I get on the road I catch up.

Some of the few highlithts of this trip...

I went to the bank for cash, I really really need it. The bank police stopped me at the door. There was a robbery and they closed the bank. A robbery! So I got my cash from the Visa at a gas station.

The state bird here is the shattered beer bottle. Honestly, I have not seen so much broken glass since my days in Tacoma.

One of those famous midwest storms came from out of nowhere. It rained like crazy and the heat never let up. It was like a sauna outside.

Tonights TV highlight:

Vaginoplasy. Yeah man, some surgeon is 'fixing' a young girls vagina. She had a kid, so now he's going to...uh...tighten it up? This involves cutting out little wedges on each labia, then sewing things back together. Oh, and an injection of 'harvested fat cells' from the liposuction that was performed on the girls tummy. One shot on each side. It made me wince several times and I don't even have those parts.
